Terms of Service

Last updated: December 30, 2025

Please read these Terms carefully. By using this website or accessing The Bend’s Divorce: Do It Differently course (“Course”), you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Scope of Services

The Bend provides educational content, tools, and resources designed to support decision-making during divorce and high-conflict situations. While we strive to provide high-quality guidance, we cannot guarantee specific legal, financial, or personal outcomes.

2. No Professional Advice

Our content is for educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for:

  • Legal advice or representation

  • Therapy, counseling, or mental health treatment

  • Financial planning or tax guidance

No attorney-client or therapist-patient relationship is formed by your use of this Course. Because divorce laws vary significantly by jurisdiction, you should consult with a qualified professional in your area before making any binding decisions.

3. Intellectual Property

All Course content—including videos, scripts, worksheets, branding, and illustrations—is the exclusive property of The Bend. By purchasing this Course, you are granted a single-user license. You agree not to:

  • Share, record, or distribute materials publicly or privately.

  • Sell, reproduce, or modify any portion of the content.

  • Allow unauthorized users to access the Course using your credentials.

4. Payments & Refunds

Due to the digital nature of our content, all sales are final. While we are "humans first" and want you to have a positive experience, any requests for exceptions to this policy must be submitted in writing to hello@itsthebend.com within 24 hours of purchase.

5. Account Security & Conduct

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information. You agree to use our services in a lawful and respectful manner. We reserve the right to terminate access, without refund, for conduct that is:

  • Harmful, abusive, or unlawful.

  • Harassing toward instructors, team members, or other students.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE BEND SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE COURSE. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • The outcomes of legal proceedings or mediation.

  • Emotional distress related to the divorce process.

  • Decisions made based on Course materials.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE COURSE. Past results or examples shared in the Course do not guarantee similar outcomes for your specific situation.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to revoke access to our services immediately if these Terms are violated.
